Nearly half a billion people live with some form of diabetes. It is both a health crisis and a societal catastrophe which, in addition to suffering the consequences of this chronic condition, drives many families into poverty. IDF is trying to help tackle this on a global scale and as part of its initiative to raise awareness, asked us to design and build their website. We also worked on the diabetes Atlas, a cornerstone of global statistics on diabetes, creating both the website and printed publication.
The website content is extensive, covering the multiple issues and initiatives associated with diabetes and within the different geographical regions. Our main challenge was to keep the navigation as user-friendly as possible.
80% of the world diabetes burden is borne by poorer and developing countries, hence the need to share information on a global scale. Prevention is the priority.
